Available for hire throughout the year, Heritage Wharf Cottage is situated in the idyllic Cheshire countryside overlooking a picturesque marina by the Macclesfield Canal in Scholar Green, near Kidsgove. In addition, Heritage Wharf Cottage has a spacious lounge area which offers three large sofas and an armchair, a large open fireplace for a log fire, television, video, stereo/tape/CD player, large patio window overlooking the canal and wonderful views across the Cheshire Plains. A large kitchen with electric cooker, tall fridge, chest freezer, dishwasher, double sink, utility room with washing machine and dryers. Other notable features include a large patio with picnic table and barbecue, the cottage overlooks a private marina to the front, a large secluded side garden for sunbathing in privacy. Day Boat Hire: The neighbouring Heritage Marina offers a deluxe 12-seater Daydream day boat for self-steering on the Macclesfield Canal. It is highly recommended to book in advance for the day boat trip, especially during the Summer months. Two "Mix" Holidays: A two-destination holiday could also be taken with Heritage narrowboats, spending one week in the cottage and one week on board a narrow boat cruising around the picturesque Cheshire canals. There's so much to do During your stay there's so much to do - enjoy a cruise on the canal on your own canal day boat, or the white knuckle rides of Alton Towers. Why not relax in the Pottery Towns or browse through Sandbach Market? You can even visit Little Moreton Hall and the local museums. The choice is yours! Heritage Wharf is just 10 miles from the Peak District National Park, in an area rich in places to visit and inns serving good food. Little Moreton Hall is nearby, and the famous Pottery towns are only 8 miles away, with visitor centres, shopping and the WaterWorld Aqua Park. Alton Towers Theme Park and it's "white knuckle" rides is only 20 miles away. Other nearby attractions are: Jodrell Bank Science Centre, Granada Studios, Trentham Gardens, Historical Chester, Macclesfield Silk Museum, The Albert Docks in Liverpool, Congleton Market....even Nottingham and Robin Hood are just over an hour away.
